Cranberry and Yogurt Dog Treat Recipe

Does your dog have tummy troubles? Try making this Cranberry and Yogurt Dog Treat Recipe. Great for the digestive system, yogurt can act as a probiotic. As well, it’s high in calcium and protein. Just make sure that you use plain yogurt, as the fruit kinds may contain sugar or artificial sweeteners.
Makes 24 cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup cranberries fresh, frozen, or dried
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup ground flax seed
2/3 cup oats
1 tablespoon honey
3 tablespoons water
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
2. Put oatmeal in a food processor and grind until fine in texture, as well as cranberries. Add to bowl.
3. Add flour, ground flax seed, honey, water, and yogurt to bowl. Mix the ingredients together until incorporated and the dough holds together.
4. Lightly flour a large cutting board or clean counter. Flip dough onto surface and roll to ¼-inch thickness.
5. Cut out cookies with cookie cutter and place on cookie sheets.
6. Place in oven for 20 minutes.
7. Remove from oven and cool on rack.
8. Store treats in airtight bags or containers and keep in refrigerator or freezer.
